It's a SM57. And the angled mod is very well built. Looks original.

But I'm not sure it is needed. Sure, you save a couple of centimeters length which can be good in a crowded drum kit. But there are other alternatives like Audix i5 or a ton of other mics that needs even less space. I guess if you are a 57 junkie and really need them on your drums, this is a slight improvement over the original. But on the other hand at a pretty hefty price increase.

Compré este micrófono para grabar baterías (cajas) y guitarras (amplificadas y generalmente con distorsión), típicas situaciones para usar el famoso SM57.

Características:
En el caso microfonear cajas puede haber complicaciones por el ajustado espacio que a veces hay entre la caja y el charles. Pero gracias al ángulo de 90º del Granelli G5790, la longitud del micrófono se reduce a la mitad y permite situarlo fácilmente. Además como los SM57 rechazan el sonido que reciben desde detrás, esta modificación de forma del micro te permite apuntar directamente a la caja y dejar detrás el charles para minimizar el sangrado.

Para grabar amplificadores de guitarra no suele haber este mismo problema. El Granelli G5790 cumple la misma función que un SM57 normal. La única ventaja es la posibilidad de hacer que el cable vaya directamente a lo largo del pie de micro, haciendo una forma de L invertida en vez de una T con el cable volviendo hacia el pie de micro con una curva.

Sonido:
Respecto al sonido, es un SM57, suena como tal y se comporta como tal. Si estás leyendo esto, probablemente ya sabes lo que buscas. Y si no, mejor lee las opiniones del SM57 normal, que encontrarás información mucho más detallada.

Fabricación:
Como un tanque, los SM57 son micros muy resistentes. El codo que se ha añadido en esta modificación está hecho de un material muy similar (o incluso igual) al resto del micrófono. Se nota sólido y duradero.

Pros:
El doblado reduce su longitud, especialmente útil para colocarlo en sitios con espacio reducido.

Contras:
El precio también está doblado respecto a uno normal.

En resumen:
Es un SM57 más práctico. Si te lo puedes permitir, habrá momentos en los que lo agradecerás infinitamente.

Das altbewährte 57er hat damit eine praktische Variante erhalten. Es ist auch sauber verarbeitet und macht einen etwa gleich soliden Eindruck wie sein Original.

Einziger Negativpunkt: Es klebt ein Ettikett darauf, weles sich schon fast gelöst hatte bei mir. Darauf steht, dass die Garantie verfällt sobald dieser Sticker weg ist. Blöde nur, dass der sich fast von alleine schon löst. Ich habe das Mic jetzt im Studio für die Snare fix verbaut, aber ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass sich das Ding bei ständigem Transport, Auf- und Abbau rasch verabschiedet.

Ich bin mir auch nicht wirklich sicher, ob sich der Aufpreis wirklich lohnt, wenn man nicht wirklich enorm mit Platzproblemen kämpft. Ich streite um jeden cm in meiner Drum-Booth, da ist es durchaus sinnvoll. Ansonsten ist die Standart-Ausführung wohl zielführender.

Das bessere SM57

Ich nehme viel Drums auf und fand diese Mikrofonvariante an der Snare genial. Wegen des Preises hab ich aber länger mit mir gehadert. Doch letztendlich habe ich es dann doch bestellt und nicht bereut. Es passt auch in dir engsten Lücken. Im Vergleich zum regulären SM57 höre ich keinen Unterschied.
