CL 105 A - nice.
Peter R. 438 03.06.2023
I am using mine as a stage monitor, on a mic stand, 1/2 meter to the right of my mic, mic stand, around 3/4m high, it points straight at me and sounds good at around 1/3rd volume.
I have the genuine Mackie version of the cl105a, but the Mackie is 1 killo heavier, needing a full size mic stand for stability, consuming floor space. My cl105a, much lighter, only needs a light cast iron base mic stand, using 1/3rd the floor space of a standard mic stand (less stage clutter).
The cl105a has a few more features than the Mackie, the cl105a has BT + memory stick 'usb' mp3 player + mp3 control buttons & 3.5m mini jack socket more than the Mackie, but only 2 channels, the Mackie has 3 channels, other features are similar, 3 eq controls, master volume.
The sound quality from these 2 is almost the same, both with 5 inch speakers, but the Mackie is much louder, 'loud' is not needed in a close up monitor.
The eq on the Mackie has much more range, but I mostly use eq flat (12 o'clock), eq'd at the mixing desk, so no problems there.
Over all, the (my) cl105 is an improvement for me at larger venues. all connected, it fits into my sound system perfectly.
I think the cl105a is a thomann brand, I have full confidence in thomann products, some I've had for 18 years, mostly reliable and mostly good performers + 3 year warranty :-)

Useful Piano Monitor
3rdElder 14.12.2021
Deployed the CL150 as a piano monitor for a Nord stage piano. Our keyboardist seems to like it ... its lightweight, works well, and is simple to use. We got the stand adapter with it, so it sits easily on a spare mic stand.
The sound quality is ok, not much bass, but that's to be expected. The only minor complaint is that line out is a bit noisy (so we don't use it!)

It is doing the job
EL BRUNO 02.03.2019
This small monitor is doing exactly what it is made for.
I can hear what I am singing and I can hear my guitar while I am gigging. It is loud enough when it is standing in front of you.
The frequence range starts at 30 Hertz in the description. But I cannot hear the low sounds very well on this one. That could be better.
But in relation to the price it is OK and I will not give it away.
I bought it together with the soft bag and that is a good deal.
For only 9 Euro more I got the bag.
I have the Behringer Eurolive B205D too for a few years and that sound is better. But it is not really louder. And the price is higher.
All in all I am happy with the new CL 105 A.
I didn't check the USB player because I don't need that. It is a nice extra.

Outstanding for the money
Andy739 18.01.2019
I bought this so I can jam along to tracks on my bass at home without setting my stack up. For the modest cost an amazing bit of kit that sounds really good at the sort of volumes I need to rehearse at. Reccomended
