Doepfer support is NON PLUS ULTRA

I modded mine to get really short delays (less than ms), didn't work right at first, but then I got a reply from Dieter Doepfer himself 😁
I did what he wrote me, and now it works exactly as I want it to.

In case anyone else decides to change the timing caps - first note that this *voids warranty*, so if you're not experienced with electronics, don't mess with it.

I used 330nF for C2 and 100nf for C5.
This is what Dieter Doepfer wrote me:

"If the value of capacitor C2 (10u) is reduced too much the first unit (delay) does no longer trigger the second unit because the pulse becomes too short. An additional resistor at the trigger input of the second unit (pin 8 of the NE556) to GND will help to solve this problem (1M should work, we tested it with C2=470nF). In addition the resistor R4 can be increase from 220 Ohm to 1k. R4 defines the shortest time and is in series with the potentiometer."

A
trigger delay with huge range
Anonymous 24.10.2016
A dual module that offers a number of possibilities. I use it to adjust the gate time of a clock signal or to divide down the clock signal (these are both done with just the gate length control). With a logic module interesting rhythms can be created very simply and with asymetrical patterns or swing. I also use it to add delayed vibrato and other modulations to my sounds. The delay can be exceptionally long as can the gate length. And of course the all important LEDs to let you know what the module is doing.

I have only rated the sound as okay as this module doesn't produce or modify sounds itself (although if you put an audio signal through it you get a really crunched up distortion!)

Goedkoop bovendien. No brainer!

It works fine i use it too to convert a longer gate into trigger with delay and length at minimum.
