Built like a tank: Made to last.

Wow, the build quality and smoothness of this control has to make it to the top of and pedal owners or synth owners list.

It is reasonably compact for the average boot :)

All connections are sensibly placed at the top of the pedal, so that pedal board width is not used up. Of course, up to you how much room to give it... but I have it in a tight slot between other pedals and it is easy to use.

There is a polarity switch on the back - very useful! You can use this to invert one of the outputs... meaning that as one thing fades out, another fades in, for example. So you could blend from one delay to another effect... the potential is there for many creative applications.

Did I mention it is well made?

CM
Useful Expression Pedal
Cian M. 16.06.2021
I got this to use primarliy with the Katana Amplifier
It is slightly smaller than a Wah pedal (which is nice).
The dual outputs are handy and I am still experimenting with how I will use this functionality with the other gear I have.
The treadle of the pedal is very smooth throughout, from heel to toe positions.
I have (unfortunately) tripped over it a couple of times and it is still ok.
Like most Roland & Boss products it is built very well and is made of metal for the most part. I anticipate that it will last the test of time.
The pedal comes with a short stereo TRS cable for connecting to other equipment, this is a great idea. It allows you to get playing immediately.
I like that the pedal requires no batteries or external power source too. (as it should be)
It is conveniently the same width as standard boss effects pedals also. This is handy as it slots right into pedal boards without too much hassle.
The level of quality and packaging were also very good.
The box it comes in is clearly designed to keep the pedal safe and protected. The pedal was flawless when I got it. The paint was smooth and clean and there were no chips or lumps.
I was very impressed by this pedal.

Boss EV-30

Bought this to go with my Boss Katana 100 2x12 and as always Boss products leave me with a smile on my face. It is built like a tank as all my other Boss pedals and it works a treat, I actually find it better than the cry baby its replacing. Even though it can be used as either effects pedal or volume, I'm actually gonna buy the FV-30H as a dedicated volume pedal and just use the EV for effects. It's simple to use and thankfully comes with a TRS cable included. Can be used to control 2 effects but with my limited skills will only probably be using it for Wah and Bend (which I've just discovered and is awesome) Highly recommended by me as did Austin from Boss.

Smooth operator !

USe this with my novation summit synth. V cool due to dual outs and dual pedal inputs on the summit. V handy with the two layers on synth and two animates per layer. Pedal is smooth and very well built. Only con is I need to think about now how to balance setup of dual outs with pedal position as I work through a setlist. But that is just me ha!
